interested in buying external hard drive imac- frankly, not proficient yet- has been 6 month struggle, lots of youtube tutorials-and response macrumors folks- think want 1 tb external hard drive connect hub/ or need connect usb slot on back?-the hdd should 3.0, guess know it.-i intend use backup capability have not yet researched- how? etc-and movie, etc storage-yes have looked.But you want to get the old library onto an external drive that you can connect to the new Mac, and then 'do your importing' from there. Seems to me Photos (or was it iPhoto, I don't really use either very much) wanted the user to download a small 'update utility' or something to bring over pics from an older version? Not sure.I have 2 seasons worth of this show remuxed and all of the episodes refuse to sync.
